A Força da Rua - Force of the Street

Aconteceu no ultimo dia 22 de abril, um leilao em Londres, onde as pecas a serem leiloadas eram guitarras Gibson pintadas por artistas ingleses e brasileiros. A renda do leilao sera revertida para uma ONG chamada ABC Trust, que foi fundada em 1998 pela mulher do grande guitarrista Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Jimena Page, e que tem um trabalho voltado a tirar as criancas das ruas de Sao Paulo e dar uma assistencia para que elas tenham um futuro melhor.
A minha participacao no projeto incluiu a pintura de uma dessas guitarras e a criacao, em conjunto com o artista ingles Will Barras, de uma gravura com serie de 200 copias, que tambem sera vendida para ajudar no projeto.

Last 22th of april had done an auction in London with Gibson guitars exclusively painteds by british and brazilian artists. The income from this auction will support to the NGO ABC Trust's project to help the homeless children living in Sao Paulo/Brasil. The ABC Trust was founded in 1998 by Jimena and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin).
My part on this project includes to paint one of these Gibson guitars and to create with the british artist Will Barras, one colorfull print with 200 copies that will be selled to help this project as well.

“Começou esta semana a X Bienal de Havana que escolheu o tema “INTEGRAÇÃO E RESISTÊNCIA NA ERA GLOBAL” porque considera importante o papel da arte no mundo globalizado.
Eu participei juntamente a um projeto do artista plastico brasileiro Julio Leite, chamado Galeria Cilindro e que teve a curadoria de Leonor Amarante e teve como artistas convidados Walter Nomura e Marcio Bottner, alem do proprio Julio Leite.
Foram convidados tambem como participantes e assistentes, Tomas Musso, Alberto Eloi e Floriana, alem de Renato Heynnes e peetssa para a documentacao e registro de imagens.
O projeto da Galeria Cilindro na X Bienal de Havana consistiu de 3 performances realizadas em 3 dias e horarios diferentes, sendo a primeira durante a abertura da Bienal no Forte Cabaña, a segunda no Centro Comunitario LASA e a terceira na Escola de Belas Artes de San Alejandro. Nas 3 performances foram convidados alunos estudantes de arte e pessoas da comunidade local para a participacao que a meu ver foi uma grande celebracao da Arte, com o uso de todas as suas linguagens.. pintura, desenho, escrita, teatro, danca e musica.
Ao final, a Galeria Cilindro foi montada dentro de um dos espacos de exposicao dentro da Bienal, no Morro, juntamente com os macacoes e bicicletas usadas nas performances.

This week had started the X Bienal de la Habana with the theme "Integration and Resistance at the Global Era" because they consider art as an important thing in a global world.
I was invited by the curator Leonor Amarante to participate in this Galeria Cilindro's project by the brazilian artist Julio Leite with the othe invited artist Marcio Bottner moreover the proper Julio Leite.
As assistents and also participants were invited Tomas Musso, Alberto Eloi and Floriana, and to the documentation and images recorders were invited Renato Heynnes and peetssa.
The Galeria Cilindro's project includes 3 performances in 3 different places and times.
The 1st one during the opening of the Bienal at the Fort Cabaña, the 2nd one at the LASA Community Center and the 3rd one at the Escola de Belas Artes del San Alejandro. In the 3 performances were invited art students and people from the local community to participate with the artists and assistents in the performances.
I can see this performance as a big celebration of the Art because everyone was free to do whatever they want drawing, painting, acting, singing, yelling or dancing with the music in the place.
At the end, the Galeria Cilindro were assembled inside his hall in the Bienal, at the Morro, with all the clothes and bicicles used in the performances.

Editorial de Moda fotografado por Eduardo Rezende e produzido pela equipe da revista Luxe.
Este editorial foi totalmente produzido e realizado durante o I Brazil Fashion Cruise, e as fotos foram todas realizadas em alto mar com o navio em movimento. Foi incrivel participar desta producao, lutando contra o forte vento vindo do Oceano Atlantico, segurando os cenarios pra que eles nao saissem voando, a modelo Renata Klem, num sol escaldante, vestindo roupas de inverno e o fotografo Eduardo Rezende fazendo as fotos de angulos super dificeis por causa da arquitetura do navio...
Sem contar a percepcao da Cris Kutianski que estava selecionando as roupas mais adequadas a cada pintura buscando adequa-las ao conceito e estilo de cada artista, assim como o maquiador Andre Gagliardo que tb suou muito pra fazer maquiagens em tempo recorde e que nao derretessem com o Sol que fazia.
Enfim... o resultado se ve nas imagens.

This publishing was entirely produced and fullfilled during the I Brazil Fashion Cruise, and all the pictures were made on the high-seas with the cruiser in movement. To participate of this production was incredible because we had to fight against the strong winds coming from the Ocean, taking hold the paintings to they don't flight, the model Renata Klem acting and posing behind a very hard Sun wearing heavy clothes for the winter. The photographer Eduardo Rezende doing the photos with very hard angles because of the ship's architecture...
Moreover the fine perception of Cris Kutianski to select the right clothes to each painting looking for something that could be able with the concepts and styles of each artist. And the beauty Andre Gagliardo who sweat a lot to make-up Renata very fast and taking care to the make-up don't melt with the hard Sun.
So... the result is on these pictures.
